Before we begin, let’s pause to enjoy this “Little Mermaid” classic for a moment, shall we?

Now…on to today’s topic: paella! I attended the 7th annual Corona Paella Challenge at the Pearl Brewery here in San Antonio last Sunday, and I had a fabulous time!! The food was amazing, the pink lemonade sangria was the stuff of dreams…and the smells in the air made me swoon. I had students competing in the high school division (they came in 2nd – woohoo!!! So proud!!!), and I did a great job of tasting the different professional chefs stuff as well. Yummy!! Here are some pictures:

I had never been to this event before, but I certainly hope that I will make it back again. It’s a beautiful way to spend a Sunday —- and an excellent way to sample some great food! Yaa! :-)
